Description
How to Use the Canon EOS C200
1. Setting Up Your Camera
- Remove the camera from the packaging carefully.
- Attach the lens to the EF-Mount by aligning the dots on the lens and camera body.
- Insert a charged battery into the camera by sliding it into the battery compartment.
- Insert a CFast 2.0 or SD card into the appropriate slot for recording.
2. Powering On the Camera
- Locate the power switch on the camera body.
- Slide the switch to the “On” position.
- The LCD screen should light up, indicating that the camera is powered on.
3. Adjusting Camera Settings
- Press the “Menu” button to access the camera settings.
- Navigate using the joystick or buttons to adjust settings like resolution, frame rate, and recording format.
- Set the ISO and shutter speed according to your lighting conditions.
- Use the ND filters to control exposure if necessary.
4. Focusing
- Enable Dual Pixel Autofocus by selecting the option in the menu.
- Use the Focus Assist feature to help with manual focusing; this highlights the in-focus areas.
- Adjust focus using the lens ring or the touchscreen display.
5. Recording Video
- Press the record button to start filming.
- Monitor the recording status through the LCD screen or EVF.
- To stop recording, simply press the record button again.
6. Audio Input Settings
- Connect your microphone through the XLR or 3.5mm input.
- Check audio levels using the audio meters on the display.
- Adjust input levels if necessary to avoid distortion.
7. Reviewing Footage
- Press the playback button to review your recorded footage.
- Use the navigation buttons to scroll through your clips.
- Make sure to format your SD card regularly to free up space for new recordings.
8. Powering Off the Camera
- Slide the power switch to the “Off” position when you’re done.
- Remove the battery if you won’t be using the camera for an extended period.
9. Maintenance Tips
- Clean the lens with a proper lens cloth to avoid scratches.
- Keep the camera dry and store it in a cool, dry place.
