How to Use the Panasonic AW-UE20K Integrated 4K PTZ Camera

Setup Requirements

• Power Supply: 12 V DC or PoE+
• Video Output Cables: 3G-SDI, HDMI, or USB
• Control Device: PC, Mac, Tablet, or Smartphone
• Network Connection: Ethernet for remote control (if using PoE+)

Installation Steps

1. Choose a suitable location for your camera with a clear view of the desired area.
2. Mount the camera securely using the appropriate mount (not included).
3. Connect the camera to a power source using either a 12 V adapter or via PoE+.
4. Connect the camera to your video output device (monitor, recorder) using the 3G-SDI, HDMI, or USB ports.
5. If using remote control, connect the camera to your network via the RJ-45 port.

Basic Operation

1. Power on the camera using the switch or by connecting to power.
2. Access the camera’s Web-GUI from your PC, Mac, Tablet, or Smartphone:
   • Open a web browser and enter the camera’s IP address.
   • Log in with the default credentials (refer to the manual for details).
3. Adjust the camera settings as needed using the Web-GUI interface.
4. Use the camera controls to pan, tilt, and zoom as desired. The camera supports:
   • Panning range: -30° to 90°
   • Tilting range: 170° +/-
   • 12x optical zoom for clear close-ups.

Video Output Configuration

1. Select the desired video output format through the Web-GUI settings.
2. Available formats include:
   • 3840x2160p30
   • 1920x1080p60
   • 1280x720p60
3. Ensure the connected device supports the selected format.

Audio Input and Output

1. Connect an audio source to the 3.5mm audio input jack.
2. Ensure the audio settings are configured in the Web-GUI for proper embedding.
3. Monitor the output through connected devices and adjust as necessary.

Tally Light Usage

• The integrated tally light indicates the camera’s operational status:
• Red: Camera is live.
• Green: Camera is ready but not live.

Maintenance Tips

• Regularly check firmware updates through the Panasonic website.
• Keep the lens clean for optimal video quality.
• Store in a dry environment to prevent moisture damage.
